Stipend payments are taxable income.

FORWARD is the vendor providing payments under the stipend program. If you were awarded a stipend payment in 2022, an IRS tax form 1099 reporting that payment has been mailed and/or emailed to you from the FORWARD vendor parent company GEOCKO, INC.

The email will come from a service called Track1099 1099 & W-2, with the subject line  Subject: 1099-MISC from Geocko, Inc. Please download the 1099 form linked in this email for your records.

What is the Homeless Service Workers Stipend Program?

Homeless service workers were eligible to receive a stipend up to $4,000. Application submission for this program is now closed!

Applicants awarded Stipend #1 on or before December 22, 2022 were sent instructions via their registered email to apply for Stipend #2 approximately five months after their award date.

The last day to submit application for Stipend #1 and Stipend #2 was June 2, 2023.

September 29, 2022

Application opens for first round of stipend payments.

December 22, 2022

Last day of stipend #1 approval to also receive stipend #2

March 29, 2023

Stipend #2 applications available to be submitted

June 2, 2023

Last day to submit application for Stipend #1 and Stipend #2
